Nacelle Raises $4.8M for Its Headless eCommerce Platform

Announced in TechCrunch’s feature article, Nacelle has raised 4.8 million in a recent funding round led by notable tech-investors, Index Ventures and Accomplice. Other angel investors include distinguished eCommerce leaders from Shopify Plus, Klaviyo, Attentive and more.

Founded in 2019, Nacelle is a headless and progressive web app (PWA) platform built for online retailers who are dissatisfied with slow page load speeds and low conversion rates. With Nacelle, retailers deliver lightning-fast customer experiences optimized across all devices, are SEO friendly and pair seamlessly with traditional eCommerce platforms such as Shopify Plus. The key benefits for online stores going headless include greater performance, better scalability and a more streamlined developer experience.

In a world of instant gratification, the longer your online store takes to load, even by a few seconds, could have a devastating impact on your business. Google reported that the probability of bounce increases by 123% as page load time goes from one second to 10, when the average time to fully load a webpage is 10.3 seconds on desktop and 27.3 seconds on mobile.
